Eight NA teams invited to MLG Las Vegas Overwatch tournament

MLG has invited eight of the best North American Overwatch teams to its Las Vegas event to compete for a share of $100,000.

Team EnVyUs, NRG eSports, Cloud9, Fnatic, CompLexity Gaming, FaZe Clan, Team Liquid and Rise Nation have all been invited to MLG Las Vegas and will head to Nevada to compete between December 16th and 18th.

The eight team competition will take place at the legendary Mandalay Bay on the Las Vegas strip, with tickets still available for those that wish to attend.

Looking at the field of teams EnVyUs instantly stick out as potential winners, thanks to their domination of the NA scene over the summer months. For weeks they went undefeated, but stumbled when the came up against European teams at LAN events. They haven’t quite looked at strong but still head in as a top contender. Also in the mix is Fnatic, who have quietly climbed the ranks to become one of NA’s best.

Of course anything is still possible in the world of Overwatch, and any of these teams could easily come out as winners.

MLG Las Vegas will also feature a $100,000 Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare competition that will serve as the first major LAN event of the 2017 Call of Duty World League.
