Revolution and Bullfrog veteran promoted to art director at Climax

Climax Studios has promoted 20-year industry veteran Gary Welch to art director.

Before joining Climax, Welch held positions at Revolution and Bullfrog, working on iconic series such as Broken Sword, Theme Park and the Harry Potter tie-in titles.

He has since worked on Assassin’s Creed spin-off series Chronicles at Climax, as well as the developer’s Gear VR title Gunsight and a VR tech demo for the Amazon Lumberyard engine.

"Gary brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the post and his recent work in VR and AR is proving invaluable to our new projects,” said CEO Simon Gardner.

Welch himself added: “I am very excited to take on this role, especially with all the new and varied projects we have coming up.

“It’s going to be a diverse and interesting year for us, so I can’t wait to get started.”
