Indie Giving allows devs to attend GDC for less if they help with a local humanitarian project

GDC 2016 Summit passes donated to charity

GDC has once again joined with Indie Giving to offer cheaper tickets to those willing to give in other ways.

For the fourth year running, 30 GDC Indie Games Summit passes will be available through the Indie Giving package programme, priced at $295 (£197).

The tickets are currently sold out on the main GDC website.

To pay the discounted cost, developers have to agree to meet ahead of the show on Sunday, March 13th 2016.

They will then volunteer to collaborate on a humanitarian service project in the San Francisco Bay Area. The package price includes transportation and lunch on the day, plus other benefits.

GDC 2016 takes place at the Moscone Centre, San Francisco, from March 14th to March 18th.
