Twisted Pixel leaves Microsoft

Gunslinger and Splosion Man developer Twisted Pixel is no longer part of Microsoft Studios, the developer has announced.

The once again independent studio confirmed the news to IGN, explaining that the team had always been open to the possibility of separation.

Twisted Pixel executive producer Bill Muehl stated that the transition had been in the works for a few months,” adding that the studio hopes to work with Microsoft again at some point.

Microsoft acquired the Austin-based indie studio in 2011.
