Kojima Productions logo pulled from Silent Hills website

Konami has removed references to developer Hideo Kojima from another one of his studio’s projects, fuelling speculation that the team has been taken off the game.

GameSpot reports that the Kojima Productions logo can no longer be found on the website for the upcoming Silent Hills, which was revealed as joint project between Hideo Kojima and film maker Guillermo del Torro last year.

"Konami has switched from a studio-based to a headquarters-based organization, so [Kojima Productions] wouldn’t be listed as a studio anymore,” Konami said in yet another ambiguous statement. At this time, there are no additional updates to share."

Konami has already removed references to Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions from not only the website for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, but also older Metal Gear titles.

All signs seem to point to the departure of Kojima, and possibly other members of his studio’s staff, from Konami following the release of MGSV in September. If true, that could mean that different developers will be drafted in to the Silent Hills project, or perhaps that the game is in danger of cancellation.
