New Guitar Hero to be revealed next month, report claims

Activision is reportedly planning a reveal event next month to announce the return of the Guitar Hero franchise.

Polygon points to a report from Gamereactor UK (which has since been pulled) that details an apparent invite from Activision sent out to various media outlets in Germany.

Activision’s invitation suggests the event will focus on a rhythm game featuring rock music: The event is set for April 1st in "Hamburg Rock City," and the publisher encourages journalists to "rock the shack with us!"

Reports of the series’ resurrection began surfacing last month, with word that a new Guitar Hero title will launch before the end of 2015. A new Rock Band title is rumoured to be in development for PS4 and Xbox One as well.
