Nearly ten million PS4 and Xbox One copies sold-in to retail

GTA V ships 45 million units

More than 45 million copies of Grand Theft Auto V have been shipped to retail, publisher Take-Two has revealed.

In its latest financial report, the firm said the figure includes nearly ten million units on PS4 and Xbox One. A PC version of the game is expected to be released on March 24th.

GTA V is the best selling game ever in the UK, and the title also broke worldwide records as the fastest-selling entertainment launch in history in 2013, making $1bn in sales in its first three dales on sale. By October 2013, Take-Two said it had shipped nearly 29 million units.

Elsewhere in its Take-Two’s latest financial report, it revealed shipments of NBA 2K15 have surpassed 5.5m units, while the Civilisation series has sold-in over 29 million units worldwide.
