New Year New Job 2015: Artists, designers, coders, producers and more needed for next instalment of popular RPG shooter series

Gearbox hiring for the Borderlands team

Borderlands developer Gearbox Software has embarked on a major recruitment drive as it begins work on a new entry in the franchise.

Studio boss Randy Pitchford posted a string of tweets calling for devs that want to join the team to head to Gearbox’s website to find out more about the various vacancies available. Positions called for include artists, designers, coders, producers and more.

Find out more from his tweets below:

Pitchford’s claim that this next Borderlands is "the big one" is intriguing. The second entry already made dramatic improvements over the original, with last year’s Pre-Sequel also being well-received.

The next Borderlands will presumably be the first entry on Xbox One and PS4 – not counting the upcoming remastered editions of the last two games. Plus, Gearbox now faces competition from the similarly structured Destiny.
