Hotline Miami 2 delayed, now expected by early 2015

The sequel to violent indie game hit Hotline Miami has suffered a delay, developer Dennaton Games has confirmed.

Joystiq reports Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is now scheduled for a late 2014 or early 2015 release, after the title missed it previously announced release window of September 2014.

"Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is still getting some final tweaks and polish, expected to be ready for late 2014 or early 2015," the game’s Twitter account read.

"Your patience is appreciated and will ultimately be rewarded with everything you hoped for and nothing like what you expected."

Hotline Miami 2 is currently in development for PS3, PS4, PS Vita, PC, Mac and Linux platforms.
