Activision announces Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Danger of the Ooze

Yet another Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game is on the way from Nickelodeon and Activision.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Danger of the Ooze will be the sixth Turtles game to be announced and/or released since Activision struck its deal with Nickelodeon back in early 2013.

It’s a side-scrolling title that takes place between the second and third series of the current animated cartoon and is not connected with Michael Bay’s recent cinema treatment of the franchise.

The developer has not yet been specified.

It offers a vast, interconnected, non-linear game world, which rewards exploration and creative thinking” according to the press material, with players able to swap freely between Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo.

It’s due out on PS3, Xbox 360 and 3DS some time this autumn.
