Civilization Revolution 2 is a mobile-only game

2K Games has confirmed that the successor to Civilization Revolution will not be released on consoles.

Civilization Revolution 2 will instead be released for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch on July 2nd, with an Android release to follow at a later date.

Civilization Revolution 2 is the first Civilization game to be developed exclusively for mobile platforms, delivering high-impact graphics and new gameplay and controls that capitalize on the mobile technology advancements since the original Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution launched more than five years ago,” the blurb reads.

Leaders from the previous game such as Lincoln and Gandhi will this time be joined by others such as Churchill and Kennedy.

The original Civilization Revolution was released way back in 2008 before making the jump to smartphones in 2009.
