Final Fantasy and Tomb Raider send Square Enix forecasts upwards

Square Enix has revised its full year fiscal forecasts upwards on the back of a better-than-expected performance from a number or recent releases.

Strong sales of rejuvenated RPG Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn and Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD were both credited, as well as PS4 and Xbox One release Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition.

Mobile title Dragon Quest Monsters: Super Light is apparently also off to a good start.

The publisher now reckons net sales for the year will hit between 140-155bn and net income between 3.5-6.6bn.
