Xbox One release for Amazing Spider-Man 2 ‘TBD’

UPDATE:Activision has said that it still hopes to release the Xbox One version. It hasn’t specified the reason for the delay/cancellation.

We are working with Microsoft in an effort to release The Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game on Xbox One," it told Eurogamer. "Currently, the game will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and the PC on May 2nd, 2014 as previously announced."

ORIGINAL STORY: The Amazing Spider-Man 2 may never be released on Xbox One, Activision has confirmed.

NeoGAF spotted that all mention of the SKU has been removed from the game’s official site.

We want to inform you that we are revising our release plans for ASM2 on Xbox One,” a release schedule update from Activision confirmed. When and whether ASM2 is released on Xbox One is TBD.”

No reason has been given for the delay/cancellation. Many retailers continue to take pre-orders for the game.

The Amazing Spider-man 2 is due out on PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii U and 3DS on may 2nd.
