Microsoft’s Spencer teases Xbox One exclusive from Japanese studio

A new Xbox One exclusive from a notable Japanese developer will soon be unveiled, Microsoft’s Phil Spencer has revealed.

IGN translates Spencer’s interview with Famitsu during GDC 2014, which provided some insight into Microsoft’s plans for Xbox One in Japan.

Spencer states that the company is putting together special announcements to accompany Xbox One’s launch in Japan this September – specifically mentioning the exclusive when asked what Japanese fans have to look forward to.

"The release date for Japan has been decided, and I’m very excited," Spencer said. "We will release a unique, exclusive title for the Xbox One from a wonderful Japanese developer."

Spencer added that fans can expect Microsoft announcements regarding "something never before seen" at the 2014 Tokyo Game Show. The event takes place September 18th-21st.
