Major League Gaming expands with MLG Brasil franchise

North American eSports organization Major League Gaming has announced a deal with Brazilian sports entertainment company Grupo guia to form MLG Brasil.

The organization will look to expand its competitive gaming platfrom to South America – following a decade of impressive growth in North America, as well as leagues and partnerships in Europe and Asia.

MLG Brasil debuts with the Call of Duty Championship Brazilian Online Qualifiers, taking place over the next two weeks. The new South American branch will coordinate with MLG US office to help facilitate” the online qualifiers that advance.

The Call of Duty Championship itself is scheduled for March 28-30 in Los Angeles, and will be exclusively broadcast on MLG.tv.
