Halo 5 could miss 2014 release says Master Chief voice actor

Master Chief might not be gracing Xbox One this year after all.

Speaking with Gamezone, Steve Downes, voice actor for the fabled Spartan commented that a Halo 5 launch in 2014 is unlikely.

Instead, Downes says consumers can look forward to Halo 2 Anniversary edition.

"I think you may be ahead of yourself on Halo 5," said Downes.

"I wouldn’t expect anything until 2015. What you can look forward to this year is an anniversary edition of Halo 2."

But rivalling the voice actor’s comments are Microsoft’s own words, as the firm’s senior PR manager for Halo, Rob Semsey, reaffirmed back in January that Halo 5 remained on track for a 2014 release.
