Microsoft’s PC gaming ambassador no longer with company

Microsoft’s PC games guy Jason Holtman has apparently moved on, a move that comes after less than six months on the job with the firm.

VG247 points to an update on Holtman’s LinkedIn profile, indicating the industry veteran left Microsoft at some point last month.

Holtman was hired on by Microsoft this past August to focus on the Windows PC platform – specifically in regards to the firm’s games and entertainment offerings.

[I want to make] Windows a great platform for gaming and interactive entertainment,” Holtman stated at the time. I think there is a lot of opportunity for Microsoft to deliver the games and entertainment customers want and to work with developers to make that happen, so I’m excited to be here.”

No word on what Holtman has planned moving forward, and Microsoft has yet to officially comment on the departure.
