Call of Duty odds-on for Christmas No.1

No game will come close to beating Call of Duty: Ghosts for Christmas No.1, say leading betting agencies.

Activision’s FPS is currently No.1 ahead of next week’s festive charts, but only beat FIFA 14 by a mere 600 units. Paddy Power, which has stopped taking bets, has Call of Duty: Ghosts at 1/5, ahead of FIFA 14 at 5/1 and Assassin’s Creed IV at 9/1.

Ladbrokes, however, has Ghosts at 1/8, FIFA 14 at 7/1, Assassin’s Creed at 50/1, while GT6 is an outside bet at 100/1.

A Paddy Power spokesperson said: FIFA and Assassin’s Creed are set to be blown away by Call of Duty for Christmas number one video game next week.”

Ladbrokes’ counterpart added: It’s a clear race this year. No game is coming close to knocking Call of Duty off its perch this Christmas.”
