Mojang's popular world-building hit coming to PlayStation Store tomorrow in North America and Europe a day later

Minecraft heading for PS3 this week

Minecraft is heading to the PS3 this week in both North America and Europe.

The world-buidling game will be released tomorrow on December 17th, and will also hit Europe a day later.

The hugely popular title had previously been a console exclusive for the Xbox 360, but that deal has now ended.

As well as getting a PS3 release, the title is also being developed for the PS4 and Vita, but a release date for these has yet to be set.

The PS3 version of the title will include the same features as its Xbox 360 counterpart, and will be developed in tandem with other versions.

To date, Minecraft has sold more than 30 million copies across all platforms.
