Gran Turismo 6 has microtransactions, is available to pre-order on PSN

Sony has confirmed that upcoming PS3 racer Gran Turismo 6 will be the first game in the series to offer microtransactions.

Prices have not yet been revealed for the in-game credits” system although Sony says that the gamers can buy the credits both in-game and via retail gift cards. They will come in denominations of 500k, 1m, 2.5m or 7m.

The in-game cash can be spent on cars or parts.

Gran Turismo 6 has also popped up as an available pre-order on PSN. The standard version costs 49.99 while there’s also a Special Edition for 59.99 which includes 20 extra cars and various other digital extras.

And anyone who pre-orders on PSN will also receive the Precision Pack for free.

Gran Turismo 6 will be released on December 6th.
