Entry level toolset features terrain editor and drag and drop controls

FPS Creator Reloaded heads into beta

The Game Creators’ new development platform FPS Creator Reloaded for the PC is now available in beta.

The engine is designed to be easy-to-use, and features drag and drop controls as well as its own terrain editor.

Reloaded’s grahpics engine also allows developers to create high-res textures, reflections and use cascade show mapping and self-shadowing techniques.

The development team on engine is currently working on a multiplayer version of the tool, as well as support for the Oculus Rift and Intel Perceptual.

To date, the FPS Creator Reloaded project has raised more than $100,000 in support of its development. The beta is only available for those who make a pledge for the engine.

"This is the first significant step towards developing our vision of the ultimate game creator," said The Game Creators CEO Lee Bamber.

"FPS Creator Reloaded is set to raise the bar and provide the easiest, most flexible and visually stunning way to create and sell your own games. In the coming months and with help from our enthusiastic community we are pioneering an exciting technology."

Development director Rick Vanner added: "In recent weeks hundreds of users have been pledging and backing the product all eager to be the first to try it out. We’re very excited to hear their feedback and there were some amazing game levels on the day we launched."

As well as working on FPS Creator Reloaded, The Game Creators has also worked on the App Game Kit development platform, the second iteration of which is currently under way after the company successfully raised £33,000 for the project on Kickstarter.
