Now Xbox One boosts its CPU performance

Microsoft has confirmed a second boost to the specs of its Xbox One.

GeekWire reports that Xbox chief marketing officer Yusef Mehdi told the Citi Global Technology Conference that the clock speed of the CPU has been increased from 1.6GHz to 1.75GHz.

This follows news from early last month that the machine’s GPU had been given a boost, increasing its speed from 800MHz to 853MHz.

Mehdi also revealed that, unsurprisingly, the console has now entered full production. What he wouldn’t say, however, is when the platform holder will be launching the machine, though he did say that this will be the biggest launch we’ve ever done by a wide margin in terms of units shipped at launch”.

Microsoft is still doggedly sticking to its vague ‘November’ release date.

PS4, need we remind you, will arrive in North America on November 15th and in Europe and the UK on November 29th.
