GameStop no longer taking Xbox One Day One Edition pre-orders

GameStop is no longer accepting pre-orders for the Xbox One Day One Edition.

A spokesperson for the retailer told Joystiq that due to high demand,” the Day One Edition of the console is no longer up for reservation. PS4 pre-orders at GameStop were recently halted for the same reason.

The chain offers a mailing list sign-up for anyone interested in learning when more editions have been made available.

Other retailers have reported they are quickly running out of stock as well – including Amazon, who is no longer taking PS4 or Xbox One pre-orders. That said, Best Buy has just reopened pre-orders for the special edition of the hardware.
