Eidos confirms Thief for current consoles alongside next-gen launch

Eidos Montreal’s Thief reboot will launch simultaneously on PC, current and next-gen consoles when it arrives next year.

The studio’s community manager Adam Badke and the title’s senior producer Stephane Roy announced the info as part of a developer video.

The core gameplay of Thief on current-gen and next-gen consoles will be the same, but the two versions will have a few differences.

"No doubt we have to change it a little bit,” Roy said. The next-gen is just so powerful, so we have to adapt our strategy of how to make it happen on current-gen."

Thief is due out in 2014 on PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
