Fez launches on Steam this May

Xbox Live Arcade will be forced to loosen its exclusivity grasp on Fez this May, as a coming soon page for the game has appeared on Steam.

Polytron’s indie gem will arrive via Valve’s popular PC platformon May 1st, according to the game’sstore listing. No additions or alterations from the XBLA version are mentioned, so it appears that it will be a straight porting of the title.

While it’s unknown how well the port will sell over a year after the game’s 360 launch, the developer likely won’t have to worry about any of the patching issues they ran into upon launching on Microsoft’s hardware.

A Mac version of Fez is expected at some point down the road as well, and creator Phil Fish has even gone as far to say that he expects the game to be out on pretty much everything,” before it’s all said and done.
