Crysis 3 beta hits 3m downloads as pre-orders swell

EA has revealed impressive beta figures and a spike in pre-orders for Crysis 3, as the game readies for launch this week across multiple territories.

The publisher announced Crytek’s sequel reached 3m players during beta, helping pre-orders to a 35 per cent increase compared to Crysis 2.

The beta reached the milestone in justtwo weeks of availability, between January 29th and February 12th.

Crysis 3 releases this week on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 in North America, Europe, and Australia – with a March 7th target for Japan.
