Registration opens for Make The Game 2013

German media firm Computec is once again running its games development competition where studios could win a prize worth up to €1m.

As usual, the competition is open to any studio developing new titles for mobile, social and browser platforms. Entrants must register by May 5th at www.makethegame.de.

Games will need to be completed and ready for submission by June 30th. The winners will be announced in August around European trade show Gamescom.

Up to the three games will win the grand prize: publishing contracts for the winning titles, global marketing rights and individual marketing campaigns through Computec’s portfolion, reaching more than 5m readers.

Last year’s winner was British studio 9cubes, which is currently working on its first game for Facebook, iOS and Android, due for release in April 2013.
