Apple iPads "on a twice-a-year refresh cycle"

More rumours. And again they’re about March!

Apple Insider has word from Brian White of Topeka Capital Markets who claims that tech bigwigs at last week’s CES show in LA told him that Apple’s tablet machines are now on a twice-a-year refresh cycle.

This means that both the iPad Mini 2 and the iPad 5 will be revealed in March, he adds.

Specifically, the iPad Mini 2 is said to simply be a component refresh for added speed and power. The iPad 5, meanwhile, will apparently boast a new, thinner design.

As for the iPhone, White believes that a range of new colours and sizes will be shown off in the summer and that the new devices will be released in may or June, meaning Apple will move away from the September launch window seen with the last two models.
