Crowdfunding campaign looking for $350,000 to finance latest adventure title

Dizzy Returns in Blitz Kickstarter

The Oliver Twins have launched a new Kickstarter UK campaign to bring 20-year old adventure game series Dizzy back to life.

Developed at Blitz, the studio is looking for £350,000 during the next 28 days to fund the new game, Dizzy Returns.

The title is being designed for both iOS and PC, with additional platforms dependent on whether the campaign exceeds its funding target.

At the time of writing, the game has received £842 from 24 backers.

“Dizzy Returns is the game that Andrew and I have wanted to make for over twenty years”, said Blitz CEO Philip Oliver.

“We’ve always believed in creating games that are fun, challenging and rewarding and we’ve carried those principles through into everything that Blitz has created since. Dizzy encapsulates these ideals perfectly: quirky characters and story, interesting locations, challenging platforming, the satisfaction of a puzzle well-solved and exploring a colourful, fun world.”

He added: “Dizzy Returns is not about simply replacing the old; we want to create fantastic new Dizzy memories that will be looked back on in 20 years with the same warm feelings as the original series.“
