Parent company Kuju conducting review of all on-going business activities at Vatra Games

Silent Hill: Downpour studio faces closure

Czech studio and Silent Hill: Downpour developer Vatra Games is close to being shutdown.

As reported by Eurogamer, parent company Kuju Entertainment has said that the ongoing business activities of the studio are under review, although a decision has yet to be made to close the developer.

"The new management team at Kuju have been conducting a strategic review of all aspects of the business," read a statement from Kuju.

"As part of this process, the on-going business activities of the Vatra studio are currently under review. However, at this stage, no decisions have yet been made."

Vatra was formed in 2009, and has released titles such as Silent Hill and Rush’n Attack: Ex-Patriot for XBLA and PSN.

The studio was also believed to be working on a new God of War-style game, although the project is said to have been cancelled as the developer’s future hangs in the balance.
