THQ Warrington founder forms games consultancy

The founder of the now defunct THQ Digital Studios has formed a new games consultancy, it has been announced.

GamesWISE has been created by Colin Bell to offer developers and investors advice on the business side of games development.

As part of the new service, which is done through e-mail, Bell says he will help prepare documentation and guide developers through the process of starting up a new company.

Bell will also offer advice to investors looking to put money into development projects by providing analysis and background information on potential acquisitions.

Bell founded Warrington-based Juice Games in 2003, which was later acquired by THQ in 2006, and is responsible for titles such as racing series Juiced and Red Factions: Battlegrounds.

The studio was closed in June 2011.
