GameStop lets gamers trade in games against PSN DLC

PlayStation fans will soon be able to buy DLC from GameStop’s stores in Europe and Australia.

The new deal between the world’s leading games retailer and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe will see digital products made available in more than 1,600 stores across Australia, New Zealand, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Customers will be able buy their chosen DLC with any form of payment, including trade-in credit from pre-owned games and gift cards.

"The ability to use cash and trade credits as currency is a powerful tool and SCEE recognises that it provides a new channel for games to access and purchase exclusive content," said GameStop international EVP Mike Mauler.

SCEE CEO Jim Ryan added: "Helping customers discover great digital content at retail is what GameStop does best. We look forward to continued success with our DLC partnership and the payment flexibility it brings to GameStop customers worldwide."
