Gamescom London press meet happening this Thursday

The organisers of the year’s Gamescom are running a London press meeting this Thursday at UKIE’s Wardour Street office.

Billed as the chance to get the latest information from the organisers of this year’s Gamescom event in Cologne”, the gathering takes place on Thursday April 19th at 2:30pm.

Drinks and snacks will be available, and don’t forget that you can head down to The Lancaster London Hotel (W2 2TY) for the MCV Awards 2012 later that evening!

2012 promises further exciting developments, increased exhibition space, and new themes – and we are delighted to invite you to join Koelnmesse (Cologne Trade Fairs) and the BIU (German Association for Interactive Entertainment Software) for an informal presentation on the current status and plans for this year’s not-to-be-missed event,” the Gamescom press release reads.

With a total of over 276,000 visitors – including some 21,500 trade visitors – and more than 550 exhibitors from 40 countries, the 2011 Gamescom event in Cologne set new benchmarks, and once more showed a marked increase in international participation.”
