237 games were given tax relief nod in 2015

The first full year of tax relief for games makers has seen more than 200 approved titles, with almost half passing final certification.

The BFI hasannouncedthat 237 games were approved for Video Games Tax Relief in 2015, which marked the first full year of the legislation since passing in April 2014.

Of these 237, 116 have been confirmed to pass final certification, with 121 currently in interim stages.

In total, 180.9 million was granted to fully certificated titles by the UK/EEA, with 548 million going towards interim projects, to a total of 728.9 million.
