2K announces Kinect Carnival Games

2K Play has announced it will release Carnival Games: In Action for Xbox 360 in April.

The game will be the first in the best-selling mini-game series – best known for its hugely popular Wii entries –that will use Microsoft’s Kinect motion controller. it will be known as Carnvial Games: Monkey See, Monkey Do in the US

As with the previous games, In Action will be set in a theme park and challenges players with traditional attractions such as Milk Bottle Throw, Alley Ball and Wheel of Chance. There will also be more elaborate mini-games based on the rides, including hot air balloon races and rollercoasters.

More than seven million video game fans around the world have ‘stepped right up’ to Carnival Games,” said 2K Play’s VP of business development Steve Lux.

Now, with the immersive controller-free experience of Kinect for Xbox 360, a new generation of gamers will literally be able to ‘step right into’ the larger-than-life Carnival Games experiencer.”

Xbox marketing general manager Matt Barlow added: We’re thrilled 2K Play has re-imagined the top-selling Carnival Games universe to take advantage of the one-of-a-kind Kinect technology, launching players into an exciting, controller-free funfest that can only be experienced on Kinect.
