3DS Super Smash Bros tops Japan charts for second week

Super Smash Bros on 3DS is top of the Japanese charts for the second week in a row according to data provided by Famitsu.

Sales of the game dropped 67 per cent week-on-week but it still sold an impressive 316,024 units.

The new Smash Bros title no doubt contributed to the sales boost the Nintendo 3DS LL saw in the week. 2,638 more units were sold this week than last.

Meanwhile Wii U exclusive Bayonetta 2 debuts at No.3 and might be responsible the sales rise of 1,216 units that the Wii U console saw last week.

Last week’s No.2, Destiny on PlayStation 4, falls to No.6, behind the PlayStation 3 SKU which sits at No.4.
