A new Call of Duty game has been released TODAY

Activision has, quite unexpectedly, released its first ever ‘proper’ Call of Duty game for mobile devices.

It’s called Call of Duty: Strike Team and it’s available on iOS right now for 4.99.

Despite the premium price point, the 1.32GB game does include in-app-purchases, which according to The Guardian, range in price from 1.49 to 69.99.

The game is set in 2020 and switches between first-person and third-person perspectives. It also includes both a single-player campaign and an online survival mode.

Call of Duty has graced iOS before, of course, but only in its zombie variants in the form of Call of Duty: World at War Zombies and Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies. There are also a number of companion apps.
