Aliens will abduct you in Oculus Rift horror title The Hum

So survival horror is dead, is it? Upcoming indie Oculus Rift game The Hum disagrees.

The successfully Greenlit game is set in the aftermath of an alien invasion which was preceded by an inexplicable humming noise. Players star as a survivor struggling for answers.

But, something strange starts to happen,” the blurb explains. Every day, every night, you wake up with new memories, new abilities, new paranoias. Gameplay includes typical stealth mechanics, inventory and first person movement, but you will be suffer constant abductions that will alter your sense of reality and will break down your deepest beliefs.”

It’s being built using Unreal Engine 4 and will be demoed by its Argentinian developers at Gamescom next month.
