Apple pulls iOS games subscription app

After just a couple of days of availability, Apple has without explanation removed a first-of-its-kind games subscription service from the iOS App Store.

Just yesterday MCV reported on the pioneering streaming games service from Big Fish, which used new subscription functionality introduced in Newsstand and was fully approved by Apple.

So the app’s disappearance last night came as somewhat of a surprise to Big Fish founder Paul Thelan, who told Bloomberg: We were notified that the app was removed.

We’re trying to follow up with Apple to try to figure out what happened.”
