Asda’s Locke promoted

Games vet Frazer Locke has been named trading director for Asda Direct.

He replaces Fergal Gara who has left the firm to head up PlayStation UK.

Locke is a games retail expert. He’s worked at Dixons, Comet and Toys R Us before joining Gamestation. He became head of online for music, video and games at Asda in 2009 and recently oversaw the launch of the firm’s in-house entertainment website.

Now Locke will be responsible for the digital planning team, activity planning, multi-channel projects, as well as music, video and games online.
