Atari Inc posts promising financials

Atari Inc has revealed its financials for the quarter ended June 30th 2008, boasting of vastly improved financial performance.

Net revenue for the period was $40.3 million, around four times the $10.4 million posted in the same period last year.

Publishing net revenue was $36.7 million, versus $9.7 million in the prior year period, while distribution revenue was $3.6 million, another improvement on the $0.7 million reported in the comparable period in the previous year.

Net income stood at $3.5 million, or $0.26 income per share, compared to net loss of $11.9 million, or $0.89 loss per share, in the previous year.
