Batman GOTY gets 3D upgrade

Square Enix has confirmed that the upcoming Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year Edition will include six extra challenge maps that offer a 3D option for those playing on HD TV sets.

CVG reports that the mode is included in both the Xbox 360 and PS3 SKUs and that a pair of 3D glasses will be included in the box.

By leveraging the depth-of-field while maintaining the original gameplay and colour integrity, TriOviz 3D creates a far more immersive gaming experience, allowing console players to dive deeper into the gothic world of Arkham Asylum,” a statement reads.

The game will be released in the UK on March 26th.
