Best Joysticks ever wows industry

The industry’s just about had time to get over its biggest hangover of the year – but Future is already planning the biggest Golden Joysticks of all time for 2008.

The publishing house has called 2007’s event ‘the best Joysticks ever’, with a record number of votes and attendance levels at an all time high.

Group publisher and Joysticks organiser James Ashton-Tyler told MCV: We’re really very pleased. We received more votes and welcomed more guests than ever before.

We have two real aims with the Joysticks: to give the industry a chance to let its hair down and celebrate its hard work in an entertaining setting and to spread good, positive news about video games to the wider world. We feel we achived both.”

Future is now taking booking for next year’s event on October 31st, 2008.

The firm told MCV that it is deciding on a new, larger venue for the aftershow party.
