Bigpoint breaks through 300m user barrier

Online games maker Bigpoint has surpassed 300 million registered users.

Bigpoint has created online hits, such as Battlestar Galactica Online, Drakensang Online, Farmerama, Pirate Storm and Dark Orbit, amassing communities across the world, connected by its global gaming site Bigpoint.com.

In recent years, we’ve seen a rapid increase and unprecedented numbers in our titles. We want to celebrate our accomplishments and show our appreciation to our international community,” said Heiko Hubertz, founder of Bigpoint.

In celebration of its achievement, the free-to-play giant will hold a competition from December 5th to 18th for new and registered users to win prizes, including brand new smartphones and special sets of gold coins.

The company recentlylaunched Gameglobe, a browser-based experience that lets players create, share and play their own games and game worlds in partnership with Square Enix.

Bigpoint was founded in 2002. The online games maker also produces casual games.
