BioShock 2 dated, new Red Dead delayed

There’s both and bad news for gaming enthusiasts in Take 2’s recent financials – a ‘tentative’ date for the highly anticipated BioShock 2 will excite many, but a delay to ‘Wild West GTA’ title Red Dead Redemption will disappoint.

Many outlets are citing October 30th as the European release date for BioShock 2, with a US release to follow on November 2nd. Take 2 has since claimed these dates are ‘speculative’, though it at least bodes well for a 2009 arrival.

However, both the very promising Red Dead Redemption and gangster romp Mafia II have both been delayed until the first half of the publisher’s fiscal year 2010 – meaning they should be released between this November and April next year.
