Black Friday week was Sony’s biggest for PS4 hardware since launch

This year’s Black Friday retail event helped PlayStation 4 have its biggest week since launch.

That’s according to GfK Entertainment’s commentary on the charts for the week ending November 26th. During its launch week, PS4 sold more than 250,000 units in the UK.

The data firm says that Black Friday deals had a massive impact on the UK games market, with titles bundled with PS4s having a particularly good week.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End re-enters the top 10 at No.8, while DriveClub comes back into the Top 40 at No.20. Meanwhile, platformer Ratchet & Clank charted at No.25.

This week Pokmon Sun and Moon launched, but failed to hit the top spot. The duo were held from No.1 by FIFA 17 – which took pole position – and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Yet, sales of Sun and Moon combined would have scored a No.1 win for Pokmon.

We’ll be updating this story with the UK Top 10 when it is released.
