Borderlands 2 Captain Scarlett DLC hits next week

Borderlands 2 will receive its first major piece of DLC next week with the release of Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty.

The add-on is scheduled to arrive next Tuesday, October 16th – presumably across all available platforms though it wasn’t specifically addressed. It’s free to Season Pass owners and runs $10 for those individually purchasing.

The DLC adds the new character class Gaige the Mecromancer, the Oasis area, and achievements.

Borderlands 2 has been on a tear across the charts, finishing second in the most recent NPD retail report, despite only being available for a small portion of the period.
