CEX now selling PlayStation 4 Slims

The strange saga of the PlayStation 4 Slim continues with second-hand retailer CEX now stocking the currently unannounced console.

CEX is charging 380 for the machine and offering 304 in cash or credit for those wanting to selling their PS4 Slims to the retailer.

Two consoles are available to purchase online, with another two ready to purchase in CEX’s Widnes store. The retailer also launched a product page earlier this week encouraging consumers to sell their PS4 Slim consoles to the CEX.

PS4 Slims are also available to buy on Ebay.

The PlayStation 4 Slim was predicted earlier this year by an analyst at Macquarie Securities. Bizarrely, the console was then leaked by more than one seller on Gumtree. Initially thought to be fake, Eurogamer went to the buyer’s home and confirmed the hardware to be real.

The Wall Street Journal then reported that Sony has halted production of the original PS4 ahead of an announcement of both the PS4 Slim and the more powerful PS4 Neo.

Sony is holding an event in New York on September 7th where it is believed Slim and Neo consoles are to be revealed.
