Classic LucasArts titles lined up for Wii

A variety of retro LucasArts games will be heading to the Wii’s Virtual Console, starting with the Super Star Wars trilogy.

Super Star Wars, Super Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Super Star Wars: Return Of The Jedi will all be heading to the Nintendo download service for 800 Nintendo Points each, according to Shacknews.

The original Super Star Wars was released on Virtual Console in the USA yesterday, while LucasArts assures the sequels will be following in the coming weeks”. The publisher also promised fans it would be bringing additional classic LucasArts games” to Wii in future.

This is the latest development in LucasArts ongoing push to rejuvenate its back catalogue, which has included the release of similar classics on Steam and a remake of classic point-and-click adventure, The Secret Of Monkey Island.
