Bomberman returns to DS

Publisher Hudson has announced that Bomberman 2 for Nintendo DS will explode onto shelves February 13th.

The game boasts a ‘visual make-over,’ a more open play area and the chance for gamers to customise Bomberman’s appearance and capabilities. The title also features a full Wi-Fi mode, where up to eight players can compete.

Not to be confused with the NES game of the same name (which was released in 1991), Bomberman 2 is the follow-up to the popular 2005 DS hit, Bomberman.

The Bomberman series is one of gaming’s longest-serving franchises, having first appeared in 1983 on the Zx Spectrum. The franchise consists of over 80 different games across over 30 formats.
